MSc Engineering Management at Aberystwyth University is designed to appeal to anyone who wishes to develop their skills and confidence in the management of engineering and technology-based systems. Throughout the programme, you will develop high-level proficiencies in the areas of innovation, analysis, business strategy and management. On completion of the course, you will have gained the requisite skills to become an effective technical manager and leader, and pursue a career in a range of engineering, technology and enterprise management roles.

Typical Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements Normally, an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above. However, candidates with HND + significant and appropriate experience may be allowed to enter the programme. Each applicant will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

English Language Requirements IELTS 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each component, or equivalent

Course Overview

Engineering has a critical role to play in today’s fast-moving technological revolution, and managers who can innovate in response to global challenges are highly desirable. MSc Engineering Management focuses on building the essential skills and competencies that senior managers require to succeed in this sector, including industrial engineering innovation skills as well as strategic business and management techniques.

You will take modules in quality engineering and management, international strategy and operations, business economics, leadership, project management and product innovation. You will also complete a substantial engineering management report which focuses on providing value-added improvements within companies.

This programme has been designed to be accessible by students who have graduated from almost any discipline. It does not require detailed technical knowledge.

Assessment
